Dr. Arthur Gonsalves – Physician

Arthur J Gonsalves, MD (Chip) was raised in the Merrimack Valley. The first in his family to attend college, he attended Tufts University after graduating Phillips Academy. He graduated summa cum laude with a degree in electrical engineering before going on to medical school at Tufts University. After college, he graduated Tufts University School of Medicine as a member of the national medical honor society (AOA) placing him in the top 10% of his class. He then spent 7 years in general and vascular surgery training at Tufts Medical Center and University of South Florida, training under Dr. Dennis Bandyk, a world leader in vascular surgery.

A doctor for over 30 years, he has worked in the Merrimack Valley for two decades. He has performed over 10,000 vascular procedures. Interests outside of vascular surgery include spending time with his wife and five children. Dr. Gonsalves and his family are members of www.fusionlowell.org.
